Devon Waste Management Ltd is Devon’s largest independently-owned waste management company. We are leaders in the field of non-hazardous waste recovery, re-use and recycling, handling more waste than any other privately-owned provider in Devon through our contracts with both private and local government clients. The company was the waste management division of Devon County Council until it became a private company in 1998.

We operate under two brands. Devon Waste Management manages public sector contracts while Coastal Waste Recycling provides waste management solutions to a growing portfolio of business and residential clients. We have a staff of 100 and operate two landfill sites at Torrington and Kennford, 16 civic recycling centres throughout Devon on behalf of the county council and three transfer stations at Exeter, Crediton and Tavistock.

Our purpose is to recover materials and energy from the waste chain. Our mission is to recover as much as can be recycled from the waste businesses and households give us and to safely dispose of anything that’s left that has no value or is beyond recovery, producing green energy from it where possible.
